Can I get some advice before I participate?

How is the matching determined?
We will interview participants based on the form they filled out. During the interview, we will ask about the participants' preferences and introduce families that suit the participants based on the form and the interview.
Can I interview families before matching?
It is possible to interview the family before matching. When we introduce you to the family, please let us know if you would like to interview them.
How long does it take to decide on a family after the interview?
It will vary depending on the family recruitment at the time of your participation, but we will introduce families well in advance so that participants can start on the date they wish to start.
Can I cancel after matching?
Once your au pair/demi-pair family has been officially decided, cancellation is not possible. This will affect not only your contract with Momiji Co, but also with the family, so please think carefully before replying to the matching request.
Can I change the family I have a contract with?
You cannot change families during the contract period determined by matching, nor can you shorten the contract period.
Is an extension possible?
Extension is possible. If you and your family both wish to extend the contract, you can do so at least one month before the end of the contract period.
There will be no extension fee. Please let us know if you would like to extend your stay.
What level of English do I need?
Even if you are not confident in your English, it is not a problem. We will explain everything in Japanese before you start, including the schedule and important information about living with the family. Also, if you have any questions during the contract, we will respond in Japanese. The families who will accept you are all very kind and love Japan.
Do I need experience in childcare?
It doesn't matter if you have no experience in childcare or working with children. Anyone who loves children, wants to experience life abroad, and wants to live with an Australian family can participate.
Can I join if I'm already in Australia?
Those who are already on a working holiday or studying abroad in Australia are also welcome to participate.
